Laser Hair Therapy
Laser Hair Therapy is a breakthrough technology that takes your body’s own ability to grow hair into overdrive. This safe, effective treatment is painless, has absolutely no side effects and is completely noninvasive. It uses a non-thermal (cool) laser in low level to bathe the scalp and hair in a pure therapeutic red light. This therapeutic light interacts with your body’s cellular metabolism to produce a fuller, thicker, healthier looking head of hair.
Whether you’ve been losing your hair for years or it’s just beginning to thin, you will find a program that fits your unique needs, and that fits comfortably with your lifestyle.
Discovery of Laser Therapy
While conducting research on diabetic patients in 1964, Dr. Mester used Low Level Laser Therapy to try to heal wounds that would not respond to other treatment. Using the laser he was able to hyperstimulate the body’s ability to generate cell growth in the effected area, thus healing the wounds. However, there was a side effect. The laser also hyper-stimulated the hair growth in the treated area. Over a decade of research and development, including clinical case studies and wide use by the public in Europe, have led to the current state of the art laser treatment programs for hair.
How it Works
Low Level Lasers “energize” the tissue since light is a form of energy. The term for this is photobiostimulation. The most common example of light converting into chemical energy is photosynthesis, where plants are fed via light converted into chemical energy. In a similar way, laser penetrates into soft tissue and increases the action of adenosine triphosphate (ATP), a molecule that is a major carrier of energy from one reaction site to another in all living cells. As the hair cell is among the fastest growing cells in the body, the effect of laser treatments on the scalp and hair is very beneficial in creating the hyper-stimulation that, enhances the appearance and feel of the hair.
